Vestas sponsors Offshore wind energy Europe conference

Vestas Offshore

The offshore wind industry is still a very young industry and is consequently at an early stage of the learning curve. Vestas has been in the offshore wind market since its beginning and is therefore one of the most experienced in the field of supplying wind turbines. Vestas has installed around half of the world's offshore wind power plants, which naturally gives us exhaustive knowledge and a proven track record within this challenging environment. We are , so to say, a mature player in an immature market.

Idermar sponsors Offshore wind energy Europe conference

Idermar

IDERMAR is a joint venture between SODERCAN, ACTIUM, an Investment company of the APIA XXI Group, the Environmental Hydraulics Institute IH Cantabria, of the University of Cantabria (UC) and the Helium Company. IDERMAR´s aims to develop research and development projects in the field of offshore energy.

  • In response to offshore wind market's demands, IDERMAR is developing two lines of business:
  • Systems for monitoring offshore wind energy resources
  • Floating systems for offshore wind turbines

As an alternative to structural solutions with foundations on the sea bed, the company IDERMAR has developed a new product line called IDERMAR METEO. Likewise, IDERMAR is currently developing new support structures for offshore wind turbines.

IDERMAR has developed a new concept called IDERMAR METEO consisting of an integral wind resource and ocean data acquisition system based on a floating structure.

  • Easily adaptable to site-specific environmental conditions and monitoring system requirements established by the customer
  • Easily transported and installed reducing economic costs and environmental impact
  • Can be reused
