KONÄŒAR - Electrical Engineering Institute is a joint stock company within KONÄŒAR Group - the largest Croatian electrical engineering company. For more than 90 years, KONÄŒAR has been producing equipment for power generation and railway vehicles, present in numerous countries and on all continents. The core business of KONÄŒAR - Electrical Engineering Institute is applied R&D for different customers and development of proprietary products for the global market. Besides its considerable contribution to the development of KONÄŒAR's transformers, rotating machines, wind turbines and railway vehicles, the Institute is also fully responsible for development and sales of various high tech products such as power equipment monitoring systems, wind turbine/farm control systems and hybrid autonomous supply systems. Our wind turbine/farm control system is based on a proprietary HW and SW platform, which was used to develop several generations of digital voltage regulators, power converters and control systems for locomotives, trams and trains. The system architecture enables a long product lifetime, i.e. contributes to resolving of the obsolescence issue. The control equipment is designed to work without any maintenance in harsh climate and operational conditions, thus reducing the operation cost of wind power plant.
